Ailean Mills
After
six years in Account Management and Planning with Leo Burnett, Ailean
moved into marketing management with Nestlé, in London and then
in Switzerland. Returning to advertising, she was appointed Board Director
with Dorland, London, responsible for a range of fmcg accounts as well
as graduate recruitment and training. In 1990, Ailean moved into qualitative
research, inspiring and managing the growth of the Focus Group company's
qualitative division both internationally and in the UK, as a Director
of the company. She has worked on projects for Whitbread, BBC/BBC Education,
Cadbury, Elida Fabergé, Scottish Courage and Nestlé. She
has also facilitated in intra-company brand positioning programmes.
Training as a Jungian analyst, with a background in the humanist psychologies
of TA and Gestalt, and an education in social anthropology, Ailean includes
exciting techniques for developing creative consumer dialogue in the
Partnership's toolkit.
Caroline Oakes
Caroline
spent eight years in advertising account management with Leo Burnett
and Dorland, moving on to consumer qualitative research. Two years at
the Research Centre working with Roy Langmaid were followed by two years
at Reflexions, during which period she worked with some of the leading
practitioners in the field of creative consumer dialogue. From 1989
she has worked as a freelancer forging a close working relationship
with BMP, involved in the development of advertising work for many of
their accounts, also freelancing for other advertising agencies and
marketing companies. Her experience has been broad, spanning the disciplines
of Social and Political Research, with projects for The Labour Party,
the Joseph Rowntree Foundation; Media Research, with work for EMAP;
Channel Four and Comedy Central, as well as a wide range of fmcg strategy,
positioning, design and npd briefs. Caroline works with Upstream across
its business, with a particular emphasis on group moderation and analysis.
Eve Osborne
After
eight years with the Focus Group working on both qualitative and quantitative
research, (UK and international), Eve currently manages all Upstream
fieldwork, organises and administers all projects and utilises her considerable
range of professional computer and desktop publishing skills.
